Ruth Fell Wander served on First Bank of Highland Park’s Board of Directors from 1987 until 2002. Her contributions wereRuth Fell Wander invaluable; she brought her endless energy, creativity and intelligence to the many committees that she participated on throughout her tenure.

In addition to her commitment to First Bank of Highland Park, Ruth also devoted her time and talents to several philanthropic communities and civic organizations including the City  of Highland Park’s Business and Economic Development Commission, the National Council of Jewish Women, and the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago.

Additionally, she served as President of the League of Women Voters of Highland Park, and was a member of the Board of Directors of the National Foundation for Jewish Culture.

Ruth appreciated and loved the arts and her home was an expansive gallery of beautiful artwork. She also served as President of Highland Park Associates of The Art Institute of Chicago.
